Graduate and Undergraduate Students

Jacob Sprunck is in his graduate studies on high charge-state ion formation and plasma reformulation of hydrocarbons.

Soohang Chae is in his graduate studies on radio frequency neutral beam sources used for plasma processing. Based at the Korean Advanced Institute for Science and Technology, he is doing experiments at Irvine and Korea.

Wayne Harris is in his graduate Ph.D. studies. He is studying ion acceleration in a field reversed geometry with a time-of-flight diagnostic.

Min Park is in his graduate studies on radio frequency neutral beam sources used for plasma processing. Based at the Korean Advanced Institute for Science and Technology, he is doing experiments at Irvine and Korea.

Erik Trask is in his graduate Ph.D. studies.  He is studying lower hybrid wave propagation in a field-reversed magnetic configuration.  (Glorified microwave oven…)

Yang Zhang is a Ph.D. student. He is studying fast ion transport in turbulent plasmas.
