Experiments

At the McWilliams Plasma Physics Laboratory research is focused upon transport in plasmas. There are experiments examining ion diffusion and convection in real- and velocity-space. Other work examines electron spatial diffusion. Simulation of auroral physics has led to studies of ion conic distribution functions. Laser development has been a constant activity in the laboratory. And radio frequency wave propagation in plasmas is studied as it relates to transport.
